Description
Summary:The present research aims to promote the development of socio-emotional skills through cooperative playtime in children aged 5 to 6 years. This research arises from problems observed inside the classroom, such as behavioral issues, tantrums, and difficulties in expressing emotions. Therefore, it is proposed to define the importance of cooperative games, identifying different types of skills developed through these games and to design a guide of activities to foster the development of socio-emotional skills. According to the main ideas of authors like Vygotsky, Karl Gross, and Piaget, who are pioneers in education, it is highlighted that cooperative games are essential in early education, as they allow children to develop practical socio-emotional skills that will serve them throughout their lives. The research is framed in a mixed action- research approach, which allows for observing and understanding social phenomena that occur within the early education classroom, given that it is at this level where children are integrally formed, obtaining cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Therefore, a proposal called "My World of Emotions" was made, which includes activities based on cooperative games that aim to foster the development of socio-emotional skills such as self-awareness, collaboration, empathy, negotiation, among others, which are fundamental for their personal and social development.
