| Sumario: | To conduct the agro-socioeconomic and environmental diagnosis of the white cocoa crop (Theobroma bicolor) in three agroecological zones of Archidona canton, Napo province, identify the agro-socioeconomic and environmental aspects of the white cocoa crop in the agroecological zones of study, apply the research instrument, survey the producers of white cocoa (Theobroma bicolor), tabulate, systematize, analyze and interpret the results obtained in relation to the data collected. The methodology used was: identification of the participants in the research process, a previous survey, determination of the size of the population, selection of the sample, proportional sampling, elaboration and testing of the instrument, execution of the research project through the collection of information, evaluation of the social, technological, economic and environmental variables, organization and interpretation of the results by means of descriptive statistics and a responsible management of the research. It was determined that the technology applied in the cultivation of white cocoa by producers in the three agroecological zones of the Nueva Esperanza, Centro Mamallacta and San Pablo sectors is purely native and traditional, with an authentic focus on the preservation of agroecological practices; There are weaknesses in the traceability processes that tend to influence production, such as lack of soil analysis, fluctuation in planting distance, among others; in the aspect in the monetary, they have a sustainable economy based purely on agriculture; with a frequent and stable trade, but with moderately good prices; producers of white cocoa, protect and preserve natural resources, giving the necessary respect to nature. |
