Sumario:The purpose of this research was to determine compliance with the ESAMyN regulations regarding labor and postpartum in the obstetric area of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital during the period of July-October 2024. Nursing professionals working in the obstetric area face challenges related to the timing of patient care, and may also face difficulties in advising on proper breastfeeding management. The research used a quantitative approach, using descriptive, cross-sectional, bibliographic, and field methods. The research used a non-experimental, cross-sectional research design. It included a population of 21 healthcare professionals. The observation guide was the primary instrument for data collection, and was validated by two nursing professionals. According to the research results, the current status of compliance with ESAMyN regulations was identified. The level of compliance was then assessed, yielding a "high" level. Finally, a guide based on ESAMyN regulations was developed. The research concludes that, despite the high level, some aspects related to the delivery-postpartum and breastfeeding components need to be improved to enhance the quality and comprehensiveness of care in the obstetric area of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital.
