Determinación de parásitos gastrointestinales en bovinos bajo sistema de crianza semi intensivo en la hacienda San Cayetano, cantón Mejía

The present research project carried out a determination of gastrointestinal parasites in bovines in the semi intensive breeding system in the “Hacienda San Cayetano”, Canton Mejía; We intend to determine gastrointestinal and bovine parasites in the past. Regarding the identification of the genera of parasites, the presence of parasites corresponding to the genera Trichostrongylus sp was determined by McMaster and Dennis tests; Trichuris sp; Ostertagia sp., In addition there were 12 positive cases of liver parasites in the first intake; In the second shot, gastrointestinal parasites corresponding to the genera were identified: Ostertagia sp. and Trichuris sp., and 3 proven cases for hepatic parasites; In the third shot, gastrointestinal parasites of the genera were observed: Trichostrongylus sp; Trichuris sp; and Ostertagia sp .; with 7 positive cases of hepatic parasites; in the fourth shot, gastrointestinal parasites of the genera Trichostrongylus sp; Trichuris sp; and Ostertagia sp., and 4 positive cases for hepatic parasites. About the parasite load (eggs / g) it can be observed that 22 cases analyzed have a parasite load of 100 eggs / g (13.75%); 10 cases in a load of 200 eggs / g (6.25%), additional to this was observed in 2 cases of 300 eggs / g. This constitutes 1.25%, 400 eggs /g 3 cases observed (1.85%), finally two cases with 500 and 700 eggs /g.
