Valoración de la productividad y calidad del grano en cinco accesiones de triticale (×Triticosecale) provenientes del banco de germoplasma del INIAP, en Laguacoto III provincia Bolívar

In the project evaluation of grain productivity and quality in five accessions of triticale (×Triticosecale) from the INIAP Germplasm Bank, in Laguacoto III Bolívar Province. The following objectives were set: Identify the triticale accession with the best agronomic characteristics in the study area. Determine the quality of the grain in relation to its productive activities. Generate a database for the continuous evaluation of the agronomic variables presented by the five triticale accessions. Using a Randomized Complete Block Design (DBCA), with triticale accessions with 5 types and 3 repetitions, evaluating the main morphological and agronomic characteristics of grain yield and quality, an analysis of variance, Tukey's test at 5%, correlation analysis, and linear regression were performed. The five accessions of triticale (TRITICALE 2000, TCL-10-007, TCL-10-001, TCL-10-004, TCL11-006), presented a good plant vigor with 100%. In the growth habit variable evaluated according to the scale established by INIAP, it was shown that the accessions: TCL-10-007, TCL-10-001, TCL-10-004, TCL-11-006 obtained 80%, thus presenting a good plant vigor (Leaves arranged vertically upwards), while the accession TRITICALE 2000 with 20% presented an intermediate plant vigor (Semi-erect). or semi-prostrate). For the type of straw, 100% of the accessions presented a strong stem. In terms of type and quality of the grain, it was 100% clean, thick and well formed. The accessions; TCL-10-007 with 73.33 was better in field percentage, while T5; TCL-11-006 was the lowest field percentage at 53.33. The five accessions presented resistance to foliar diseases such as; yellow rust (Puccinia glumarium), leaf rust (Puccinia hordei), scald (Richosporium secalis) and virus incidence (BYD). The highest plant height was T4; TCL-10-004 with 119.5 cm, while T2; TCL-10-007 showed the lowest plant height at 100.9 cm. The variable NEm2, the accession T2; TCL-10-001 registered the highest average with 83 spikes, while T1; TRITICALE 2000 the lowest average with 65 spikes, in the NGE the accession T2; TCL-10-007 registered the highest average number of grains per spike with 63 grains, and the accession T4; TCL-11-006 the smallest average with 57 grains for spike. Regarding the yield of kg/ha, the accessions TCL-10-001 with 4427.26 kg/ha and TCL-11-006 with 4407.86 kg/ha obtained a higher yield of kg/ha, while the accession TCL- 10-004 being the one with the lowest yield with a value of 3565.82 kg/ha.
