Sumario:The present work deals with the Development of Pre-Writing in the Left-handed Children of the First Year of Basic General Education of the "Manuel de Echeandía" School in Guaranda town, Bolívar province during the school year 2017-2018. The research methodology was applied and qualitative-quantitative, the level reached was relational under a documentary and field modality with a non-experimental design and a transversal orientation; ten students were the participants, the application of a checklist through the observation before and after the proposal allowed to verify the hypothesis, inferring that: The manipulation of didactic material and furniture for lefties if it improves the development of the prewriting of left-handed children of the first year of the Manuel de Echeandía School; thus it was concluded that the use of didactic material, students’ furniture and office supplies for left-handers avoids problems and disorders in children to a large extent, developing in an efficient and comprehensive prewriting.
