Summary:The study focuses on analyzing the application of the Universal Learning Design methodology in the teaching of reading and writing in favor of students with special needs, who are in the seventh year of basic education of the “Divine Verb Educational Unit.” The DUA is a pedagogical strategy that guarantees inclusive access to education through flexibility, it facilitates teaching-learning because it focuses mainly on each of the student's needs so that they can learn. The investigative report was developed under the qualitative approach, thus facilitating the compilation of detailed and detailed information on the subject of study which was contextualized within the research, thus facilitating the understanding of the DUA by promoting the skill of reading and writing. The results of the analysis show that DUA is one of the methodologies that can facilitate the learning of reading and writing, as it is consolidated as one of the strategies that allows dynamism and inclusion in teaching in favor of each student.
