| Summary: | In this thesis the determination of bacterial kinetics for obtaining biogas (methane, CO2) was studied, including the optimal mix of cow manure and waste cabbage through anaerobic digestion, the biogas produced was measured by water displacement in specimens reversed during the days of the process. This work was performed to determine the bacterial kinetic quantifying the microbial population, establishing metrics and mathematical model of the kinetics. During the development of the pilot phase periodic measurements of the control variables such as pH, COD, Total and Volatile Solids, microbial count, measurement of Methane and CO2 in order to establish the performance parameters of the process were conducted. To evaluate the performance of biomass it worked with mix combinations in percentage, concentration and nature of substrate (50:50; 25:75) and temperature (ambient, 30° C), obtaining better results in the ratio (50% - 50%). The contribution of this research is based on the determination of the anaerobic biodegradability of mixed waste, according to the established parameters, which presents the feasibility of anaerobic digestion technology for generating energy from these organic wastes. This study is a first approach to the development of an optimal strategy for both the treatment of biodegradable organic waste from agroindustrial origin and the production of biogas from fermentation process in anaerobic digestion. |
