| Zusammenfassung: | The objective of this study is to "determine the palliative care provided to older adults with chronic degenerative diseases institutionalized at the 'Amawta Wasi Samay' Gerontological Center." It focuses on identifying the level of knowledge about palliative care among caregivers, designing a practical guide for symptom management, emotional support and promoting comprehensive patient-centered care, and socializing said guide among the center's caregivers. The methodology used is a qualitative-quantitative and descriptive approach. Surveys were administered to caregivers at the "Amawta Wasi Samay" Gerontological Center to measure their knowledge about palliative care. Subsequently, a palliative care guide was designed based on the identified needs. Finally, the guide was socialized among the caregivers. The results of the study show that 85.7% of caregivers know palliative care well, while 14.3% indicate having moderately adequate knowledge about the definition of palliative care but not the care that should be provided to older adults. Through the observation guide that resulted in the fact that I do not know how to apply the palliative care that older adults require.
