X. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This work Graduation, " PLAN OF MANAGEMENT AND PORTFOLIO RECOVERY DUE TO THE COOPERATIVE SAVINGS AND CREDIT QUINSALOMA METROPOLIS OF CANTON, PROVINCE RIVERS, YEAR 2012", is of much importance, because it aims to solve one of the problems that cross with frequently the credit unions, because even if it is not resolved in time can lead to a financial institution liquidity problem could even lead to the closure of the institution. The scope of the research was based on the problem: How the Management Plan for Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd. Metrópolis, affects the recovery of overdue ? The problem described was elucidated by applying both the manager interviews as chief credit to those who ratified enunciated by the majority of members in the surveys that were prepared and erected to the effect , it was found that the main cause of late payment in Metropolis is the cooperative 's limited portfolio analysis conducted that regulate and guide the actions and procedures of the executives at the time to implement , approve and deliver the credits to members. The problem encountered is the fact no plans for loan recovery and plans to increase deposits, is there are no strategies that strengthen the liquidity and solvency of the cooperative hypothesis so demonstrated "the implementation of a management plan will improve recovery of non-performing loans of credit union Metropolis Ltd., of Canton Quinsaloma , Los Rios province , in 2012. " The research methods used in the study were the Inductive, Deductive and Comparative: Types were the Bibliographic Research , Field Research , Transverse , and techniques were also used for data collection : Observation , Interview and Survey . Finally as a result of the investigation in Chapter III was raised a proposal that aims to improve operational the following: 1. Reduce total NPLs by 25 % in six months’ time. 2. Increase deposits by 5 % within six months. 3. Adapt new methodology to simplify credit operations. 4. Design a management plan for the recovery of loans. This proposal explains in detail each of the plans for the COAC Metropolis Ltd.
