Cantón Guaranda, Bolívar Province. Period December 2018-April 2019, aims to determine the knowledge of contraceptive methods to prevent pregnancies in adolescents in the third year of high school. This is a descriptive, transversal and prospective study with a quantitative approach. The study was carried out with the students of the third year of high school of the Educational Unit San Pedro de Guanujo, with a population of 66 students, in which the knowledge was determined generating an average of 63% in the indicators for the part of the ignorance and a 37% representing the knowledge that students have about contraceptive methods, in addition to the identification of three pregnant adolescents who were in their last year of study.
