The study stems from the need to strengthen social interaction, communication, and conflict resolution skills during the early stages of educational development—essential aspects for the integral growth of children. The methodology used follows a mixed approach, both qualitative and quantitative, incorporating bibliographic and explanatory designs. It also applies deductive and inductive methods, analysis-synthesis, and action research. Surveys were conducted with teachers from the Early Childhood Education II level, along with the implementation of observation sheets for children aged 4 to 5 years in the classroom. This aimed to collect relevant information on teaching dynamics and the impact of storytelling as a pedagogical strategy. The results show that storytelling significantly contributes to fostering skills such as empathy, cooperation, active listening, and verbal expression in children, facilitating theonments. Through narratives, children not only develop their imagination but also acquire values and positive behaviors that improve their interpersonal relationships. Most importantly, storytelling proves to be instrumental in developing social skills in children at the Early Childhood Education II level. As part of the proposal, a methodological guide was designed based on age-appropriate stories, featuring interactive activities that enhance learning and the practice of social skills in playful contexts. This guide aims to serve as a support tool for teachers in lesson planning. At the same time, it offers children an engaging and attractive activity that combines fun with learning, sparking their curiosity, creativity, and desire to interact with their peers. The proposal also includes pedagogical recommendations for teachers 16 on how to adapt activities to the specific needs of the group and guidelines for continuously and effectively evaluating the development of children's social skills. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of storytelling as an effective pedagogical resource for developing social skills in children in Early Childhood Education II, recommending its systematic integration into the educational curriculum. In this way, it contributes to the strengthening of social skills development in each child. |
