Resumo:In the Chimbo Canton located at 2450 meters above sea level, it was studied to evaluate the fertility in Californian rabbits submitted to induction of ovulation with Buserelin Acetate and Chorionic Gonadotropins (eCG and hCG). A statistical model of variance (ADEVA: DBCA) was applied; Duncan media separation test at 0.05 and 0.01; correlation test and simple linear regression; In the research, 4 Treatments and 3 repetitions were evaluated, with a total of 48 experimental units. Percentages, means, and graphs were calculated. The objectives were: 1) Determine the most effective treatment in ovulatory induction in California rabbits. 2) Evaluate the size of the litter. 3) Establish the relationship Benefit / Cost per treatment. The experimental variables and results were; Initial weight T2 average of 3.5 kg / rabbit; Percentage of heat T1 and T3 average 100% / rabbit; Percentage of fertility T3 average 100% / rabbit; Percentage of prolificacy T3 average 11.4% / rabbit; Percentage of kits born alive T3 average 10.9% / rabbit; Percentage of kits born dead T1 average 0.6% / rabbits; The largest number in litter size T3 7.17 calves / calving; The highest weight of litter T2 with 355 grams / litter. The response to the treatments, I present statistically a non-significant correlation in the variables evaluated; economically, the treatment with the highest net benefit ($ / Animal) was T3 with $ 1.99 / animal at the end of the experiment (90 days). Finally, the results of this investigation allow us to deduce that the most important components in the evaluation of fertility in California rabbits subjected to induction with Buserelin Acetate and Chorionic Gonadotropins (eCG and hCG) were: genetic quality of the rabbits, hormonal treatment and environmental changes that influenced the reproduction of the rabbits.
