Shrnutí: | Economies around the world are undergoing constant changes with the effects of societies, the economy, driven by market demand and shortages of products creating human needs, controlling the productive apparatus according to the laws of the market, which is the law of supply and demand, the former provides more of a product every time in the market increases the price of a good, known as inflation, while the latter reduces the amount that consumers want by increasing the price of the good. Ecuador is a multicultural country, which allows it to offer its citizens a wide range of products in the market of goods and services depending on the price and level of income received by the applicant, related to the proportional salary, should be planned based on the products to be purchased, including the basic basket, in a given period of time. The discomfort arises when a citizen receives his salary or wage and cannot cover the cost of the basic basket, which includes basic products for basic needs. Basically, inflation occurs when the price of a good increases and income remains the same, which generates demand due to the lack of money for the goods demanded. In the basic food basket, price increases are generated by two reasons: first, by a decrease in the production of its product, which generates speculation in its sale, and second, by the price controls of the regulatory authorities that the government does not control the product. The Consumer Price Index, which measures the evolution of the general price level relative to the set of goods and services necessary to satisfy the basic needs of a household with an income of $450. The Intermediate Distance Index measures the growth of the monthly recognized distances between final consumer prices and producer prices of the basket equivalent. These are comparative statistics that become a useful tool to explain domestic inflation by relating it to the commodity chain. Keywords: Basic food basket, minimum wage, inflation, social economy. |
