Modernidad y descomposición social: el suicidio en Jóvenes de la ciudad de Guaranda, provincia Bolívar, 2022.

Suicide, a topic of controversy for many years due to the little knowledge that exists about it or because even in today's society it is a taboo, many of the cases are identifiable by the signs given by young people but there are also cases where no sign is observed, simply the suffering of the young person is known once he ended his life, its causes mostly come from the problems of individuals and the little attention given to them, but regardless of their origin the problem is the same, the end of a life at the hands of the individual himself. This research arises from the need to know about the main reasons that young people between 15 and 29 years old from the city of Guaranda have to create in themselves, ideas, thoughts, and suicidal actions that lead them to make the decision to attempt against their life, to achieve their goal which is to die by their own means, also the research aims to identify what are the main alerts that young people present; alerts that should be identified in order to adequately address this problem and seek possible solutions to it, with family and specialist support, it also seeks to identify what are the situations, actions or things that influence the progress of this problem and that lead the individual to have this type of thoughts and subsequently to the young person committing these erroneous actions, of which of course, they are aware of the consequences. For the development of this research, a qualitative methodology was used since its development will be based on bibliographic, theoretical, descriptive, analytical and field review. It is also worth mentioning the implementation of the triangulation methodology, which consists of obtaining different data, methods, different perspectives and points of view on the subject under development for its subsequent understanding and obtaining successful results, Likewise, during the development of the research, the interview was used as a data collection technique, the implementation of which is extremely useful since this technique allows the researcher to keep in touch with the object of study, in addition, the Delphi method was implemented, which was very useful since it allowed collecting information from specialists, which was very useful at the time of obtaining the results of the project. This research work proposes to obtain results that allow us to know how much influence modernity and social decomposition have on the young people of the city of Guaranda, factors that generate suicidal ideas, thoughts and attempts, that is to say, to carry out an action that, regardless of the form used, will only have one final result, it will make a young person and his life by means of suicide. 18 Key words: Suicide, modernity, social decomposition, youth, Guaranda.
