Instruments such as interviews and surveys were used to obtain regarding information management information is performed in the University Welfare Department, and thus design a tool that is useful for officials. The rapid development was used Applications (RAD) as Software Development Process with a Object-oriented approach as a paradigm. The system used free software tools for building system Operating GNU / Linux CentOS 5.8 distribution, Apache Web Server 2.2, Database manager PostgreSQL 8.4, Programming languages: PHP, Java, JavaScript, among others. It is noteworthy that the DBMS system improves the management of information users regarding University Welfare Department, mainly it reduces response times in search and registration information, reduces the percentage of lost and redundant information. |
