| Gaia: | This research was conducted at the San Lorenzo Educational Unit, located in the Guaranda canton, Bolívar province. Its fundamental purpose is to examine the influence of branching as a pedagogical strategy in the teaching-learning process of Cultural and Artistic Education among tenth-grade students of Basic General Education. Branching, understood as the application of game mechanics and playful elements within the educational environment, is emerging as an innovative methodology that seeks to increase motivation, active engagement, and the strengthening of both cognitive and creative skills in students. Currently, it is observed that traditional methodologies fail to capture student interest or sufficiently stimulate participation, thus affecting their academic performance and their ability to develop artistic skills. In this context, the project proposes integrating branching as a teaching resource that transforms classroom dynamics into a more interactive, engaging environment adapted to contemporary educational challenges. To support the proposal, surveys were conducted with 60 students and interviews with two teachers, the results of which were analyzed and interpreted. A theoretical review was also conducted to support the effectiveness of branching in education. It is concluded that the implementation of this strategy significantly contributes to increasing students' motivation, creativity, and critical thinking, recommending its adoption to optimize the educational process. |
