For this investigation, a completely randomized block design (DBCA) with 9 treatments and 3 repetitions was used, with a total of 189 experimental units. The crosses were Peru x Peru, Peru x Inti, Peru x Andean, Inti x Inti, Inti x Peru, Inti x Andean, Andean x Andean, Andean x Peru and Andean x Inti, in the analysis of variance most of the variables gave highly significant statistical significance (**). In the results obtained from the crossing of the three lines of guinea pigs, the Peru x Peru line had an average weight and length at birth of 201.46 grams and 16.96 cm, its excellent weight gain and rapid growth make it superior to the other lines of guinea pigs, achieving superior results in most of the variables evaluated. The Inti line obtained similar results when crossing it with the Peru line, better weights and average lengths of 193.35 grams and 16 cm were obtained, but not when crossing with the Andean line, giving us lower results. The Andean line was characterized by its high prolificity, giving us averages of 3.71 pups per calving, leaving the Inti and Peru lines behind. |

Para esta investigación, se utilizó un diseño de bloques completamente al azar (DBCA) con 9 tratamientos y 3 repeticiones, con un total de 189 unidades experimentales. Los cruzamientos fueron Perú x Perú, Perú x Inti, Perú x Andino, Inti x Inti, Inti x Perú, Inti x Andino, Andino x Andino, Andino x Perú y Andino x Inti, en el análisis de varianza la mayor parte de las variables dieron una significancia estadística altamente significativa (**). En los resultados obtenidos del cruzamiento de las tres líneas de cobayos la línea Perú x Perú tuvo un peso y longitud promedio al nacimiento de 201.46 gramos y 16.96 cm, su excelente ganancia de peso y rápido crecimiento lo hace superior a las otras líneas de cobayos logrando resultados superiores en la mayor parte de las variables evaluadas. La línea Inti obtuvo resultados semejantes al cruzarlo con la línea Perú se obtuvieron mejores pesos y longitudes promedios de 193.35 gramos y 16 cm no así al cruzar con la línea Andina dándonos resultados menores. La línea Andina se caracterizó por su alta prolificidad dándonos promedios de 3.71 crías por parto dejando detrás a las líneas Inti y PerúGuaranda. Universidad Estatal de Bolívar.
