Yhteenveto:The research called analysis of functional physical vulnerability and the quality of water for human consumption in the Santa Fe parish of the Guaranda canton, this research was carried out based on quantitative and qualitative methodologies, which consists of the evaluation of the vulnerability of the components ( collection, conduction, treatment and distribution) of drinking water systems in the face of threats of earthquakes and landslides; as well as information on the quality of drinking water, elements of vital importance that could influence the increase in the vulnerability of water systems to possible dangerous events of natural origin and the health risk of its inhabitants. For the present investigation several strategies were applied such as field visits, the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of each component and laboratory analysis. The base information was based on reports, studies and interviews with authorities of the parish GAD of Santa Fe and likewise there are inhabitants of the community who are the ones with more knowledge provided information on the operation of their water system for human consumption, as well as the field trips where the information about the operation and provision of the service in the area of influence was complemented, obtaining a score of 33.5 corresponding to a medium vulnerability, the driving obtained a score of 35.5 corresponding to a medium vulnerability and the treatment component obtained a score of 25.5 corresponding to a low vulnerability, assessments made for the slip vulnerability. The scores for the earthquake vulnerability were 20 in each of the three cases, which corresponded to a low vulnerability. In addition, it was proposed to identify the socio-culturalorganizational, economic and environmental vulnerability of the population benefiting from the human consumption water system in the Santa Fe parish, in which the socio-cultural-organizational vulnerability was identified having a value of the assessed factor of 6 which corresponded to an extremely vulnerable vulnerability, with its main problem being special attention and provision to people with different abilities. The economic factor obtained a score of 4 corresponding to an extremely vulnerable vulnerability having its main flaw is the lack of local xii employment source. Finally, the environmental factor was evaluated in which a score of 2 was obtained, which shows that the parameters are minimal. Finally, the quality of water for human consumption was determined by performing physical, chemical and microbiological laboratory analysis of the components of the water system for human consumption such as collection, conduction and treatment, based on the results obtained, the Dissolved oxygen analysis with a value of 6.9 mg / L that exceeds what is established in the standard of environmental quality and effluent discharge (6mg / L), indicating that these high levels are better for water quality .
