| description | The main objective of the present investigation is to determine the incidence of the nutritional value and the academic performance of the initial education of the Educational Unit of the Intercultural Millenium Salinas, through a nutritional guide oriented to the mothers of family. The mixed methodology was used, which allowed highlighting some qualitative and other quantitative aspects necessary to obtain real results and provide appropriate solutions to mothers for the benefit of their children. In addition, it was determined to carry out research in the Intercultural Education Unit of the Millennium "Salinas" with a population (n = 63 girls and boys), members of Initial 1, Initial 2 and High School and 7 teachers of the area of Initial Education. This study is supported methodologically in the research procedure through the proposal to implement a practical guide that will inform parents about the nutritional value of food improving the academic performance of children who are part of the student population related to the development of the investigation. This can only be achieved with the commitment of everyone involved in this study The guide, implemented and socialized, is of great help since, it allowed the mothers to know about the nutritional values of the food and the importance of them in relation to the academic performance, leaving the possibility to continue a second stage, with the development of a mobile application that meets the same characteristics of orientation towards parents, always marked in the lines of research of the UEB: ICT Management [Software Development], Health and Human Well-being [Children's Health]. Keywords: Junk food, Malnutrition, Obesity, Academic performance, Nutritional value.El Objetivo principal de la presente investigación se determinó la incidencia del valor nutricional y el rendimiento académico de la educación inicial de la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Intercultural Salinas, a través de una guía nutricional orientada a las madres de familia. Se utilizó la metodología mixta, la misma que permitió resaltar algunos aspectos cualitativos y otros cuantitativos necesarios para poder obtener resultados reales y brindar soluciones apropiadas a las madres de familia para beneficio de sus hijos, adicionalmente se determinó realizar la investigación en la Unidad Educativa Intercultural del Milenio “Salinas” con una población (n=63 niñas y niños), integrantes de Inicial 1, Inicial 2 y Preparatoria y 7 Profesoras del área de Educación Inicial. Este estudio se apoyó metodológicamente en el procedimiento de investigación mediante la propuesta de implementar una Guía práctica que permitirá informar a los padres acerca del valor nutricional delos alimentos mejorando el rendimiento académico en los niños y niñas que forman parte de la población estudiantil relacionada con el desarrollo de la investigación. Esto solo se podrá lograr con el compromiso de todos los involucrados en este estudio La guía implementada y socializada, es de gran ayuda ya que, permitió a las madres de familia conocer sobre los valores nutricionales de los alimentos y la importancia de los mismos en relación al rendimiento académico, dejando la posibilidad de continuar una segunda etapa, con el desarrollo de un aplicativo móvil que cumpla con las mismas características de orientación hacia padres de familia, siempre enmarcadas en las líneas de investigación de la UEB: Gestión de TIC’s [Desarrollo de Software], Salud y Bienestar Humano [Salud Infantil].
