Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | This research work is aimed at reducing the risk of structural fire in the Santa Mariana de Jesús Educational Unit in the city of Guaranda and the design of a fire-fighting system to reduce and mitigate its possible consequences. In the educational units of the city of Guaranda there is a probability of risk of structural fire, due to various factors, among which construction materials and storage of materials with the possibility of inflammation can be considered. The Santa Mariana de Jesús Educational Unit presents a risk of fire that could cause economic losses, the loss of human lives, interruption of academic activities, in addition to the loss of information belonging to the institution, for the aforementioned, the evaluation of the index is developed. of risk contributes with technical information to reduce and mitigate said dangers. To establish the risk scenario, the Gustav Purt evaluation method was used, the same one that allows determining the fire-prone areas based on the amount of combustible materials they possess, it allows determining the heat load of each area of the institution, as well as the total of the same, data obtained through the visit to the institution and tour of the areas of the institution. Through the use of the CCA method (cause, consequence and contribution), the design of the fire system was elaborated based on Ecuadorian regulations, among them the norms of the Ecuadorian Institute of Standardization (INEN), Mitigation Regulations in addition to norms of the Association of Fire Protection (NFPA).
