Keywords: Slipping, social perception, situational diagnosis, risk prevention. risk management, insecurity, uncertainty.El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar el nivel de percepción social frente al riesgo deslizamiento en el sector Charquiyacu, para ello se estableció el estado situacional del riesgo deslizamiento, conocer la percepción social y proponer las medidas de reducción ante el riesgo. La metodología aplicada tuvo un enfoque mixto con un diseño transversal; el universo fue 751 personas y su muestra aplicada fue de 64 familias mediante un ajuste, las técnicas de investigación la observación, entrevista a informantes claves y la encuesta. Los resultados fueron que en el sector Charquiyacu es muy propenso a deslizamiento evidenciado por altas pendientes, la deforestación, altas precipitaciones etc. Cuando se presenta algún evento adverso, una parte de la población manifiesta inseguridad e incertidumbres, la población considera que el establecimiento de muros en las construcciones de las viviendas y un proceso de educación en gestión de riegos son medidas de mitigación del riesgo.
