Sumari:This research was developed in the CEI Teresa León de Noboa, Guaranda canton, Bolivar province, whose main purpose is to determine how the Montessori method affects the language development of children from 3 to 4 years of age, school year 2022- 2023. The research has a qualitative approach, the research design is non-experimental, the type of research is bibliographic, descriptive and field research. The research method is inductive and deductive. The research technique is direct observation and the instrument is an observation form. The population is 100 people, distributed as follows: 4 teachers and 96 students. The statistical sample is made up of 10 children of Initial I and their teacher, that is, 11 people. By means of the observation sheet it was determined that the level of language development in the Kindergarten I children is not yet at the appropriate levels, therefore a didactic guide was designed with activities based on the Montessori method to develop the language of the children of the Kindergarten I level of CEI Teresa León de Noboa, The proposal is called Painting Smiles with Maria Montessori, in which 10 activities are described, with their respective strategies based on the importance of freedom for children that allows them to express themselves independently and spontaneously, thus contributing to the development of their skills.
