Resumo:To evaluate the relationship of the game as a resource for the psychomotor development of children aged 1 to 3 years, to show the benefits of its application, was the purpose of the investigation; this is because the moment of being integrated the children to the Center of Child Development (C.D.I.) presented a heterogeneity of psychomotor development. The study population is made up of all the children who attend the C.D.I. Study subjects were: 33 children in 2016, 32 children in 2017; and 33 children until May 2018 with use of the game application strategy. The focus of the research was qualitative because it allowed to determine the psychomotor development, explanatory type because the causes and effects of the object of study, the relationship of the game and the psychomotor development were known; as a technique, observation, the instrument of indicators of achievement adopted by the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion - M.I.E.S .; The research was based on Groos theory that the game is a preparation for adult life and survival; the results determined that in children there is a heterogeneity in psychomotor development, applying a series of activities of the game, developing in the children gross and fine motor skills with the realization of long, short trips, jumping, climbing, throwing objects acquiring safety, domain and balance of your body. In short, we will say that there is a direct relationship between the game and psychomotor development; transforming the game into a didactic resource for psychomotor development.
