Zusammenfassung:The present investigation refers to the implementation of pictograms within the teaching-learning process for the beginning of the development of literacy in children from 4 to 5 years of age, since the process of reading and writing are fundamental aspects, which is not subject to discussion, since it is a tool that facilitates communication and development in daily life, therefore, this stage must be considered one of the most important of all individuals, and in turn is one of the most important challenges for the teacher, because its efficient development depends on it, through the implementation of resources and teaching materials that facilitate its development. This research is consummated under the search of different credible authors about the implementation of pictograms for the teaching-learning process for the development of children's literacy. This research focuses on the mixed approach, since it was based on the qualitative and quantitative, which allowed us to collect data and then analyze and interpret them. The type of study used was bibliographic, descriptive and explanatory, in the same way, the method applied for this research was inductive-deductive, analysis synthesis and action research, the techniques used were direct observation and the survey, which through of the structured observation sheet and the questionnaire as instruments allowed us to obtain and determine the necessary data for the analysis and interpretation of the same.
