| Резюме: | The present research work "Adaptation of three hybrids of broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. itálica) under chemical and organic fertilization in the towns of San José de Minas, Pichincha province and Cotundo, Napo province". The stated objectives were: i) To determine the agronomic behavior of three broccoli hybrids: Zafiro, Avenger and Maracaibo in two locations, ii) Evaluate the effect of chemical and organic fertilization on broccoli yield, iii) Select the hybrid that presents better development and adaptation in the established area. The randomized complete block design (DBCA) with 6 treatments and 3 replications was used. The variables evaluated were: percentage of harvest, plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves at 45 days and at harvest, days to pellet formation, days to harvest, number of harvested pellets, diameter of the pella, weight of the pella, weight in kilograms per plot and weight in kilograms per hectare. Factor A was the hybrids: sapphire, Avenger Maracaibo, and factor B was the chemical and organic fertilizers: 18-46-0, humus, the type of analysis that was carried out was Tukey's test at 5%, main effect of localities and hybrids, correlation analysis and linear regression, cost benefit analysis. The result obtained in each of the treatments did not present significant differences for certain variables. The most important variables that contributed to increase broccoli yield were: pellet weight (Minas 0.94 kg, Cotundo 0.95 kg), pellet diameter (Minas 16.59 mm, Cotundo 16.28 mm), stem diameter (Minas 4.10 mm, Cotundo 3.98 mm), and number of corymbs per pellet (Minas 34, Cotundo 33). There was a significant effect on the performance of localities, hybrids and fertilization. The highest average yield was determined in the Dos Cotundo locality with the Avenger hybrid and organic fertilization with 42328 kg/ha. The highest average in the Minas locality was the sapphire hybrid and chemical fertilization with 41164 kg/ha, the best income/cost (I/C), in Minas were T1: Sapphire Hybrid + 18 - 46 - 0 and T3: Hybrid Avenger with 2.61 and 2.17; which means that the horticulturist for each dollar invested has a profit of 1.61 and 1.17 dollars respectively and the one that generated losses was T6: Hybrid Maracaibo + humus with 0.93 cents. Unlike in the Cotundo locality, the one that generated the least loss was: T4: Hybrid Avenger + humus and T6: Hybrid Maracaibo + humus with 2.80 and 2.15; which means that the broccoli grower for each dollar invested has a profit of 1.80 and 1.15 dollars respectively and the treatment that generated a greater loss was: T3: Hybrid Avenger + 18–46-0 with 0.99 ctvs. Therefore, in the agroecological zone of Minas it is recommended to use the sapphire hybrid and in Cotundo it is recommended to use the Maracaibo hybrid in times of temporary planting with chemical and organic fertilizers. |
