The factors that influence the deterioration of hydrographic sources were identified, taking as natural risks (landslide, earthquake, volcanic eruption and rock falls) and anthropogenic (water pollution and forest fires). Each of the variables were assigned a value of indicators and weighting, the sum, multiplication and division and comparison gives us the result of each variable. |

Each of the variables were assigned a value of indicators and weighting, the sum, multiplication and division and comparison gives us the result of each variable.El presente trabajo de investigación denominado “Modelo Comunitario de Reducción de Riesgos para el manejo de agua para consumo humano de la comunidad de Gradas, parroquia San Simón, cantón Guaranda” tiene como objetivo evaluar los riesgos (naturales y antropogénicas) de agua de consumo humano para establecer medidas de reducción de riesgos. Para determinar el nivel riesgo del sistema de captación, conducción y almacenamiento, se basó en la metodología de PMI en la guía PMBOK quinta edición, modificada, fortaleciendo con trabajos de campo, entrevista a la directiva de la Junta Administradora de agua, cabe mencionar que el presente estudio es de tipo descriptivo- explicativo debido a que se realiza la identificación y evaluación de los fenómenos naturales y antrópicos. Se identificaron los factores que inciden en el deterioro de las fuentes hidrográficas teniendo como riesgos naturales (deslizamiento, sismo, erupción volcánica y caída de rocas) y antropogénicas (contaminación hídrica e incendio forestales).
