Ya planteado el tema se propuso identificar cuáles son los riesgos de incendios producidos por pirotecnia se realizará un plan de prevención de procedimientos contra incendios en la fabricación de pirotecnia En la obtención de información se usaron estrategias de investigación que nos permitieron realizar la entrevista directa al personal que labora en los talleres de la asociación de artesanos pirotécnicos San José del cantón Chimbo, la priorización de riesgos por medio la caracterización de dichos factores en caso de existir riesgos de incendios que han sido interpretado cada uno de ellos. Entre los principales riesgos de incendios de pirotecnia, con mayor afectación se identificó incendio por fabricación de pólvora, preparación del trueno del volador, combinar sustancias químicas, elaboración de luces brillantes, chisperos de colores, giradores con magnesio y el cortado de la mecha que lo hacen manualmente.Universidad Estatal de Bolívar.
