Шошго нэмэх | Тойм: | The general objective of this investigation is to determine the type of follow-up of patients with HIV associated with compliance with treatment and complications by the Comprehensive Care Unit of the Dr. Liborio Panchana Sotomayor General Hospital during the period January-April 2023, with compliance being one of the the essential factors in the recovery of the patient's state of health, meaning a decrease in the viral load and elevation of the immune status. To carry out our study, two universes were chosen to comply with what was stated in the specific objectives; universe one with a sample of 33 patients with HIV and universe two with a population of 4 nursing professionals from the Comprehensive Care Unit of the institution. A quantitative, non-analytical observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and documentary cohort study was developed. In which the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of universe one were shown, having patients from 18 to 47 years old, with the predominant gender being female with 45.5%, based on the clinical characteristics, 48.5% of patients are 1 to 3 years old. of HIV evolution, in relation to treatment adherence, the laboratory tests were reviewed where it was determined that 13 patients show a high viral load and a low CD4 count in the blood, which demonstrates non-compliance with treatment where complications such as resistance of the virus to medication and opportunistic infections.
