Furthermore, this research project had a mixed approach since qualitative and quantitative aspects were used, which were of great relevance when presenting the research proposal, giving way to the application of instruments and techniques that helped us collect data. Which consisted of observation sheets, (students) surveys (parents) and interviews (teachers, educational psychologist and psychologist). Finally, from the results obtained we confirm that neurocognitive strategies can be used in children with intellectual disabilities level 1 and 2 to improve cognitive memory. Furthermore, the results obtained show that these strategies are known by teachers, but not developed in the classroom. |

Furthermore, the results obtained show that these strategies are known by teachers, but not developed in the classroom.La presente investigación se desarrolló en la Unidad Educativa “Ángel Polibio Chávez” de la Provincia Bolívar, cantón Guaranda en donde se estableció el siguiente problema ¿Cómo influye la aplicación de estrategias neurocognitivas en la adaptación escolar en niños de 7 a 12 años con discapacidad intelectual nivel 1 y 2? El propósito de esta investigación fue plantear estrategias neurocognitivas para estimular la atención, concentración, percepción, lenguaje, razonamiento lógico, comprensión verbal y el almacenamiento de la memoria a largo plazo, con la ayuda de los docentes para aplicar fichas para el desarrollo de la inteligencia, materiales didácticos y realizar dinámicas. Además, el presente proyecto de investigación tuvo como enfoque mixto ya que se utilizó lo cualitativo y cuantitativo que fueron de gran relevancia al momento de presentar la propuesta de investigación, dando paso a la aplicación de instrumentos y técnicas que nos sirvió para la recolección de datos los cuales consistieron de fichas de observación, (estudiantes) encuestas (padres de familia y entrevistas (docentes, Psicopedagoga y Psicóloga). Finalmente, a partir de los resultados obtenidos constatamos que las estrategias neurocognitivas pueden ser usadas en niños con discapacidad intelectual nivel 1 y 2 para mejorar la memoria cognitiva, además los resultados alcanzados muestran que estas estrategias son conocidas por los docentes, pero no desarrolladas en el aula de clase.
