Objective: To evaluate the risk factors in relation to the presence of gastric cancer in the province of Bolívar during the period 2017-2018. Method: a Numerical / Documental analysis was made of the data on Gastric Cancer in the 2014-2016 period, as well as the application of a data collection form to identify the risk factors and their incidence. Design: the design applied to the present investigation is Descriptive / Transversal. Results: Through the observation data collection guide, the information corresponding to the prevalence, incidence and mortality rates in the period 2014-2016 was obtained, identifying the relationship of several characteristics such as Age, Gender of the person, BMI, as several Risk Factors, Endoscopy and Histopathogenesis with the development of Gastric Cancer in the person. An education and training plan was carried out for the users, in the rooms of the Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology services of the Hospitals of the Bolívar Province. Conclusions: the incidence of gastric cancer in the Bolivar Province was determined in the period 2014-2016 as well as the identification of the risk factors associated with the development of the disease, to finally apply an education and training plan to prevent the development of Cancer Gastric, through proper nutrition and a good lifestyle, as well as early identification of the signs and symptoms of the disease.
