El objetivo general de este trabajo fue “Evaluar el estado nutricional de niños menores de dos años en un centro de atención primaria de la parroquia Balsapamba, provincia de Bolívar, durante el año 2017”; y como objetivos específicos el determinar la incidencia e identificar las relaciones entre sus variables. El estudio fue descriptivo longitudinal retrospectivo de enfoque cuantitativo que se llevó a cabo mediante la revisión de historias clínicas e información digital de las fichas de evaluación del estado nutricional de 105 niños/as incluyendo indicadores antropométricos y diagnósticos nutricionales. Se tomó dos variables, el primer y último control anual; para ello se emplearon los siguientes instrumentos: Patrones de Crecimiento Infantil de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), software de Microsoft Excel para la elaboración de tablas y tabulación de datos; y posteriormente se utilizó el programa SPSS25 para el análisis de la información. Como resultado de acuerdo con el estado nutricional de los niños/as fueron satisfactorios en un 69% con un estado nutricional adecuado, el 31% de la población estudiada presentó un tipo de malnutrición entre desnutrición crónica, sobrepeso y obesidad. |

The general objective of this work was "To evaluate the nutritional status of children under two years of age in a primary care center of the Balsapamba parish, province of Bolívar, during the year 2017"; and as specific objectives to determine the incidence and identify the relationships between its variables. The study was a descriptive longitudinal retrospective quantitative approach that was carried out through the review of clinical records and digital information of the assessment of the nutritional status of 105 children including anthropometric indicators and nutritional assessments. Two variables were taken, the first and last annual control; To this end, the following instruments were used: Patterns of Child Growth of the World Health Organization (WHO), Microsoft Excel software for the preparation of tables and tabulation of data; and later, the SPSS25 program was used to analyze the information.
