Enunciando el problema como: La falta de interés por el cine ecuatoriano, de los estudiantes de Nivel Medio y Superior de la ciudad de Guayaquil y sus alrededores. Persigue cumplir el siguiente objetivo general: Interesar a los estudiantes de nivel medio y superior en Guayaquil y sus alrededores en el cine ecuatoriano a través de un análisis de su influencia en la sociedad local y presentación de una guía metodológica para su apreciación. Para realizar esta investigación se utilizaron métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos para encontrar una solución al problema presentado. Entrevistas, testimonios, grupos focales y encuestas fueron utilizados con este fin, los cuales llevaron al resultado final para comprobar la hipótesis planteada en esta investigación: El poco interés de los estudiantes de nivel medio y superior de Guayaquil y sus alrededores por el cine ecuatoriano, se debe a la falta de cultura cinematográfica. Finalmente se propone una Guía Metodológica para la difusión del cine ecuatoriano con la opción de realizar también un documental sobre el cine ecuatoriano para así aumentar el interés del grupo a estudiar sobre el cine hecho en el país.

The lack of interest in the Ecuadorian films by the students from High Schools and Universities Guayaquil city and its surroundings, was the fist motivation to do this thesis; and to answers to the following object: To create interest in the students in High School and senior level in Guayaquil and its surroundings through an analysis of their influence on local society and the presentation of a documentary that exposes its stages, works and main exponents.
