Las infecciones de las heridas quirúrgicas continúan representando un grave problema en el área de salud ya que consumen gran parte de los materiales y recursos humanos destinados para su asistencia. De esta forma se podrán tener datos importantes que puedan influir en el y tratamiento post quirúrgico de los pacientes diabéticos que sean sometidos a herniorrafia. La ausencia de investigaciones sobre la temática en el Luis Vernaza de la Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil, hacen necesaria esta investigación, para aportar datos de investigación al país, para establecer un mejor manejo post quirúrgico de los pacientes diabéticos, para conocer la prevalencia de infección del sitio quirúrgico. |

The infections of the surgical wounds continue to represent a serious problem in the health area because they consume a great part of the materials and human resources destined for their assistance. In this way, it will be possible to have important data that can influence the and postsurgical treatment of diabetic patients who are subjected to herniorrhaphy.
