Cuir clib leis | Achoimre: | For centuries humans have been looking to improve their quality of life. Thus, lots of people have left their birth country. However, millions of people have moved from their birth country to a foreign country in order to relocate there. These phenomenons have produced positive and negative effects in the global economy. Through several research studies, this article shows that migration can have more positive than negative effects. This article observed migrants and labor market characteristics. Besides this paper studied the impact of immigration on the labor market, remittances and on government’s income. The impact on labor market was based on an increasing labor demand due to the presence of migrants who accept to work for a lower income. This has allowed companies increase their productivity and hiring capacity. The second impact analyzed was that immigration creates remittances that benefit migrant families, who are able to cover their needs. The third impact was focused on how migrant governments benefit as their income increase through taxes that are collected from the migrants, which help governments to get more funds to finance social benefits. |
