Se presentó como objetivo: Determinar las manifestaciones bucales en adolescentes embarazadas inscritas en la Unidad Educativa Nueve de Octubre 2019-2020. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo descriptiva, cuantitativa, transversal a través de la aplicación de encuestas y tabulación de cifras numéricas y porcentuales, considerando una muestra de 23 adolescentes embarazadas. Los resultados indican que el promedio de edad fue de casi 17 años, el 83% se encontraban en unión libre, el 26% pertenece al grupo de tercer año, el 48% estaban en su último trimestre de gestación. En cuanto a los hábitos de higiene, la mayoría se cepillan tres veces al día, y usan solo cepillo y pasta, un 13% nunca lo hace. El 66,08 tienen conocimientos sobre las manifestaciones bucales, aunque existen brechas sustanciales. Al diagnosticar el conocimiento que poseen las adolescentes sobre manifestaciones bucales durante su embarazo, se concluye que es bastante bajo en relación a su salud bucal y la del bebé. Se recomienda una atención integral de las mujeres embarazadas a través del desarrollo de acciones educativas y preventivas durante todo el embarazo y promoverá la salud de las mujeres y los bebés.Gestation is a stage in which physiological changes are generated in women which may their oral health. The objective of this study is to determine the oral manifestations in pregnant adolescents enrolled at “9 de Octubre” educational unit the 2019-2020 academic period. The methodological design corresponds to a descriptive, quantitative, and cross-sectional through the application of surveys and tabulation of numerical and percentage figures, considering a sample of 23 pregnant adolescents. The results indicate that the average age was almost 17 years, 83% were in free union, 26% belong to the third year group, 48% were in their last trimester of pregnancy. As for hygiene habits, most females their teeth three times a day, but they do not use dental floss. 13% never clean their teeth; furthermore 66.08% of females have knowledge about oral manifestations, although there are substantial gaps. When diagnosing the knowledge that adolescents have about oral manifestations during their pregnancy, it is concluded that it is quite low in relation to their oral health and that of the baby. Comprehensive care of pregnant women is recommended through the development of educational and preventive actions that promote women and baby health care.Universidad de Guayaquil.
