El objetivo fue caracterizar los factores de riesgo por el cual pasa la mujer embarazada con VIH reactivo. Esta investigación fue un diseño observacional, de campo, aplicado y transversal. Se aplico una ficha de observación a una muestra de 140 gestantes. Los resultados indican una instrucción básica, tienen un bajo número de controles prenatales, no llegaron a completar las semanas de gestación, la mayoría de las pacientes investigadas recibían tratamiento antirretroviral, ingresaron por uno de los mayores factores de riesgo que fue la amenaza de parto prematuro, estaban entre las 36 a 38semanas de embarazo, el producto nació vivo, un alto porcentaje de ellos tenían un bajo peso al nacer, sin ser mayoría y no tuvieron malformaciones congénitas. Se propuso una guía educativa. The objective was to characterize the risk factors through which the pregnant woman with reactive HIV passes. This research was an observational, field, applied and cross-sectional design. An observation sheet was applied to a sample of 140 pregnant women. The results indicate a basic instruction, they have a low number of prenatals, they did not complete controls during the weeks of gestation, most of the patients investigated received antiretroviral treatment, they were admitted due to one of the greatest risk factors that was the threat of premature birth , were between 36 to 38 weeks of pregnancy, the product was born alive, a high percentage of them had a low birth weight, without being the majority and did not have congenital malformations.
