| spelling | Estudio de la eficiencia de la red de internet gratuita brindada por el Municipio de Guayaquil, ciudadela Simón Bolívar.Terán Delgado, Diego FernandoESTUDIO EFICIENCIASISTEMAS DE REDESINTERNET ALCALDÍAEste documento contiene archivo en PDF.El objetivo fundamental de la presente tesis de grado es el de investigar el sistema de internet inalámbrico (WI-FI) brindada de manera gratuita por el Municipio de Guayaquil a través de entrevistas a los encargados de implementar este servicio en el Departamento de Informática de la Alcaldía de Guayaquil, investigaciones en el territorio con aplicaciones que midan cobertura y potencia de la señal de los puntos de acceso colocados alrededor de la ciudadela Simón Bolívar y encuestas a los habitantes del sector para poder tener una idea del impacto de este servicio a su comunidad. Por medio de la información que los encuestados expresaron ly que se pudo constatar en territorio es la falta de cobertura en una parte significativa de la ciudadela lo cual dio origen a la propuesta de estudiar la implementación de un punto de acceso adicional para cubrir ese sector donde la señal es nula o la reubicación de uno de los equipos para una mejor eficiencia en la señal. También los habitantes expresaron su inconformidad con los problemas de inicio de sesión y tiempos de conexión actualmente limitados, que se propone solucionar con la implementación de un nuevo servidor Radius con un Hotspot que permita monetizar las conexiones a través de publicidad y así solventar los gastos operativos de un mayor tiempo de uso del internet por parte de los usuariosThe main objective of this thesis is to investigate the system of wireless internet (WI-FI) free charge provided by the Municipality of Guayaquil, through investigation interviews with those responsible for implementing this service in the Department of Informatics at the town hall of Guayaquil, investigations in the territory with applications to measure coverage and signal strength of access points placed around the neighborhood Simon Bolivar and surveys inhabitants of the area to get an idea of the impact of this service to their community. Through the information respondents expressed it was found that the territory is lack of coverage on a significant part of the neighborhood, this rised to the proposal to study the implementation of an additional access point to cover that area where the signal is zero or relocation of one of the equipment for better efficiency in the signal. Also the people expressed their dissatisfaction with the problems of login and connection times, currently limited, this investigation proposed solve that with the implementation of a new Radius Server with a Hotspot that allows monetizing connections through advertising and in that way cover the operating expenses of a longer use of internet.Universidad de Guayaquil.
