| spelling | Manifestaciones orales en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónicaVerdezoto Garofalo, Vanessa IsabelMANIFESTACIONES BUCALESINSUFICIENCIA RENAL CRONICAHEMORRAGIA BUCALPDFLa insuficiencia renal crónica, es un problema de salud pública tanto a nivel mundial como a nivel nacional, debido a que su prevalencia incrementa cada año, esta enfermedad se caracteriza por el declive de la función renal, que trae consigo complicaciones a nivel sistémico, como a nivel oral, afectando toda su estructura, y estas alteraciones a su vez, son más prevalentes conforme progresa la enfermedad, por ello, la gran mayoría de pacientes las presentan; el objetivo de este trabajo fue profundizar el conocimiento acerca de las manifestaciones orales en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica, se realizó a través de una investigación de tipo documental, descriptiva, donde se examinaron libros y artículos científicos de revisión bibliográfica, estudios longitudinales, observacionales, caso control y reporte de caso, se utilizó el método analítico-sintético, y de acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos de estas investigaciones, se concluyó que los pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica, debido a su condición, a las complicaciones que trae consigo, al tratamiento dialítico, farmacológico o de trasplante renal, van a desarrollar diversas manifestaciones orales de tipo ulcerativo, hemorrágico, infeccioso, entre otras, a nivel mucoso, dental, periodontal, glandular y óseo, y van a manifestar síntomas como halitosis, xerostomía, disgeusia y disfagia que afectan su calidad de vida; además, se presentó el rol del odontólogo dentro de la atención médica de estos pacientes y la importancia de eliminar focos infecciosos en su condición sistémica.Chronic kidney failure is a public health problem both globally and nationally, because its prevalence increases every year, this disease is characterized by the decline in kidney function, which brings with it systemic complications, such as at the oral level, affecting its entire structure, and these alterations in turn, are more prevalent as the disease progresses, therefore, the vast majority of patients present them; the objective of this work was to deepen the knowledge about oral manifestations in patients with chronic renal failure, it was carried out through a documentary, descriptive research, where they were examined books and scientific articles of bibliographic review, longitudinal, observational studies, case control and case report, the analytical-synthetic method was used, and according to the results obtained from these investigations, it was concluded that patients with chronic renal failure, due to their condition, the complications that it brings, to the dialytic treatment, pharmacological or kidney transplantation, they will develop various oral manifestations of ulcerative, hemorrhagic, infectious type, among others, at the mucosal, dental, periodontal, glandular and bone levels, and they will manifest symptoms such as halitosis, xerostomia, dysgeusia and dysphagia that affect your quality of life; in addition, the role of the dentist in the medical care of these patients and the importance of eliminating infectious foci in their systemic condition was presented.Universidad de Guayaquil.
