Existen varias indicaciones para extraer un tercer molar superior. El procedimiento de la extracción puede ser simple o complicado; para poder predecir el grado de complejidad es necesario conocer los factores que le afectan; así, antes de realizar el procedimiento quirúrgico es necesario hacer una evaluación detenida de los problemas que podrían presentarse y dificulten la extracción. El tercer molar, es el último diente en erupcionar, por lo que fácilmente puede quedar impactado o sufrir desplazamientos, si no hay espacio suficiente en la arcada dentaria. Asimismo, la frecuencia de patología inducida por el tercer molar es muy elevada, sobre todo, debido a condiciones embriológicas y anatómicas singulares. Hay una abundante literatura relativa a las variables que afectan a la dificultad de la extracción, terapias farmacológicas asociadas a la extracción y complicaciones postoperatorias. En la extracción del tercer molar y la determinación de su dificultad, resulta imprescindible el conocimiento de la anatomía radiográfica de la región donde se ubican, así como de las diversas clasificaciones topográficas de los terceros molares sobre las que se basan, entre otros aspectos, los índices para la valoración de la dificultad de la extracción, que describiremos posteriormente.This graduation work described in the type of research descriptive analytical , explanatory that through research leads us to identify literature parameters molar semiretenido to avoid complications or failures during treatment Surgical and even after the .
