This project is about reading strategies for making reading a fun tool in the English language. The English teaching-learning process and their deficiencies such as the lack of resources and low motivation with the students of eighth grade, specifically is focused on developing the ability of reading, for improving students’ academic process in English. During the field observation it was noticed different reason that lead to poor school performance and disinterest, the main reason is lack the interest towards the English language. Students at this institution are completely disheartened about reading since they do not see the point of spending their time in a passage that has no relation with their reality or circumstances. Students who are learning English as a foreign language need to first have received adequate reading techniques in L1, so they can use them in English as well. But if there has been no reading habits, inadequate visual material for them to associate their reading in context, no pictures given, no songs for them to follow, no comics to laugh, and so no vocabulary connected, then the absence of motivation is obvious. Engaging students in reading goes beyond placing a passage in front of them. It means giving them the tools, the creativity, and the right instructions for them to understand, want and need to read. Though reading is the third skill within a natural approach, the others can be linked through songs, fun stories, real stories, and so on. That way, extensive reading, reading for fun or pleasure, will take place first. Once that goal is fulfilled, then we could move on to a new challenge like intensive readingDiseño de un folleto con estrategias interactivas de lectura para mejorar la lectura comprensiva de los estudiantes de 8avo año del Colegio 24 de mayo, año escolar 2014-2015. Este proyecto trata sobre las estrategias para hacer la lectura una herramienta de diversión en el idioma Inglés en la capacidad de lectura. En relación con los procesos de aprendizaje de inglés y sus deficiencias, como la falta de recursos y baja la motivación de los alumnos de octavo año escolar, en concreto se centra en el desarrollo de la capacidad de lectura, para mejorar el proceso académico de los estudiantes en Inglés. En mi observación de campo noté diferente razón que condujo a un bajo rendimiento escolar y el desinterés, la razón principal es la falta de interés hacia el idioma Inglés. Los estudiantes de esta institución son completamente desalentado por la lectura, ya que ven el punto de pasar su tiempo en un pasaje que no tiene relación con su realidad o circunstancias. Los estudiantes que están aprendiendo Inglés como una necesidad lengua extranjera a primera han recibido técnicas de lectura adecuados en L1, para que puedan utilizarlos en Inglés como la transferencia. Pero si no ha habido hábitos de lectura, material visual inadecuada para ellos asocian su lectura en contexto, no hay fotos dan, no hay canciones para ellos seguir, ningún cómic a reír, y así hay vocabulario relacionado, entonces la falta de motivación es obvio . Involucrar a los estudiantes en la lectura va más allá de la colocación de un paso por delante de ellos. Significa darles las herramientas, la creatividad y las instrucciones correctas para que puedan entender, querer y necesitar leer. Aunque la lectura es la tercera habilidad dentro de un enfoque natural, los otros se pueden vincular a través de canciones, historias divertidas, historias reales, y así sucesivamente. De esa manera, la lectura extensiva, leyendo por diversión o placer, se llevará a cabo en primer lugar.
