Organismos como la ONU y la OCDE promueven que los países vayan más allá de la gestión política ordinaria y evalúen la percepción del bienestar de sus ciudadanos. El presente estudio ejecutó la construcción del índice de felicidad interna bruta en el cantón La Libertad con datos recientes, obteniendo un fib en promedio de 2.73 sobre un máximo de 4, que en base a encuestas realizadas a la muestra de la población total, cuyas dimensiones específicas comprueban la teoría de la Paradoja de Easterlin, pues al traspasar el arco de la pobreza y subsistencia, el ingreso deja de ser un motivo de incremento de la felicidad y el bienestar de los individuos estudiadosIn 1972, the Asian country Bhutan was the first to introduce the importance of measuring the happiness of its citizens, an example that has been replicated to the present day by taking up displaced economic theories on the economy of happiness. Organizations such as the UN and the OECD encourage countries to go beyond ordinary political management and evaluate the perception of the well-being of their citizens.
