To this end, bibliographic research was conducted on using AI in language learning, complemented by a detailed statistical data analysis. To achieve this objective, a qualitative and quantitative approach was employed, combining documentary and field research methods. The main data collection techniques were surveys and interviews with students and teachers. Furthermore, the study encompassed a comprehensive examination of various bibliographic sources specializing in artificial intelligence and education. The findings indicate that the incorporation of artificial intelligence-based tools has a considerable effect on advancing speaking abilities, offering students enhanced avenues for practice and individualized, prompt feedback. As part of the research, a booklet containing specific activities was designed for A.2 level students using freely available artificial intelligence resources. The booklet was an effective tool for enhancing students' oral proficiency and facilitating dynamic and interactive learning. The significance of these findings lies in the capacity of artificial intelligence to supplement and augment the English language teaching and learning process, providing novel, accessible, and scalable solutions that can be integrated into the educational curriculum to markedly enhance students' communication abilities, better preparing them for the complexities of the modern world. El objetivo de este proyecto de investigación es conocer el impacto de la inteligencia artificial como recurso para potenciar y desarrollar la competencia oral en lengua inglesa. Para ello, se realizó una investigación bibliográfica sobre el uso de la IA en el aprendizaje de idiomas, complementada con un análisis detallado de datos estadísticos. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se empleó un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, combinando métodos de investigación documental y de campo. Las principales técnicas de recogida de datos fueron encuestas y entrevistas con estudiantes y profesores. Además, el estudio abarcó un examen exhaustivo de una serie de fuentes bibliográficas especializadas en inteligencia artificial y educación. Los resultados indican que la incorporación de herramientas basadas en la inteligencia artificial tiene un efecto considerable en la mejora de las capacidades de expresión oral, ya que ofrece a los estudiantes mejores vías de práctica y una retroalimentación individualizada y rápida. Como parte de la investigación, se diseñó un cuadernillo con actividades específicas para estudiantes de nivel A.2 utilizando recursos de inteligencia artificial de libre acceso. El cuadernillo resultó ser una herramienta eficaz para mejorar la competencia oral de los estudiantes y facilitar un aprendizaje dinámico e interactivo. La importancia de estos hallazgos radica en la capacidad de la inteligencia artificial para complementar y aumentar el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje del inglés, proporcionando soluciones novedosas, accesibles y escalables que pueden integrarse en el currículo educativo para mejorar notablemente las habilidades comunicativas de los estudiantes, preparándolos mejor para las complejidades del mundo moderno.Universidad de Guayaquil.
