Las carillas de disilicato de litio brindan muchos beneficios como ser preparaciones conservadoras, estéticamente agradables, excelente resistencia del material y buena adhesión al tejido dental; recalcando la importancia de la planificación de tratamiento a seguir y del protocolo con sus varios tiempos operatorios que son fundamentales en el éxito o fracaso del tratamiento restaurador. Para el presente trabajo se realizó una investigación de tipo cualitativo, explicativa y descriptiva guiada a través de metodología exploratoria bibliográfica realizando búsqueda de información por medio de diferentes tipos de fuentes primarias y secundarias que permitan tener una guía para conocer el uso de las carillas de disilicato de litio en carillas para el sector anterior de las piezas dentarias, así también de cómo lograr la mayor conservación de tejido dentario realizando una preparación mínimamente invasiva.. Por tales razones se concluye que las carillas dentales de disilicato de litio son una excelente opción para la recuperación de la armonía tanto en el sector anterior, como la estética facial.Over time, dentistry has evolved in several facets, especially in the aesthetic level of the restorations of the teeth in the anterior sector with the use of dental veneers. Lithium disilicate veneers provide many benefits such as conservative preparations, aesthetically pleasing preparations, excellent material strength, and good adhesion to dental tissue; emphasizing the importance of planning the treatment to be followed and the protocol with its various operative times that are fundamental in the success or failure of the restorative treatment. For the following research, a qualitative, explanatory and descriptive investigation was carried out guided through a bibliographical exploratory methodology, searching for information through different types of primary and secondary sources that allow having a guide to know the use of lithium disiicate veneers for the anterior sector of the dental pieces, as well as how to achieve the greatest conservation of dental tissue by performing a minimally invasive preparation. For these reasons, it is concluded that lithium disilicate dental veneers are an excellent option for the recovery of harmony in both the anterior sector and facial aesthetics.Universidad de Guayaquil.
