Los resultados determinaron que la huella hídrica total del cultivo es de 13 459 m3/ton siendo la huella hídrica verde que presento mayor apropiación por parte del cultivo. En tanto que el consumo de agua, a través de un aforamiento se concluyó que el cultivo recibe un exceso de agua azul, siendo un total de 6 728.4 m3/año, resultado que es superior a la huella hídrica azul de 4 216 m3/ton, existiendo desperdicio significativo de agua superficial. A nivel de análisis de sostenibilidad, los resultados determinaron que las huellas hídricas del cultivo son insostenibles en el ambiente, mientras que a nivel de rendimiento de cultivo se obtuvo un resultado de 0.35 ton/ha, estando por debajo de la media anual de Latinoamérica y el caribe siendo de 0.49 ton/ha y por debajo de la media mundial de 0.44 ton/ha. The water footprint of cocoa cultivation on the Huiracocha farm in the La Puntilla sector; The quantification of the components of the water footprint was carried out using the Cropwat and Climwat programs and the Penman Monteith equations to determine evapotranspiration.
