Once this influence is confirmed, a planned approach to vocabulary teaching is planned, within the framework of reading comprehension and composition activities, analyzing the various aspects that will guide this teaching process: Goal-setting, guiding principles Instruction, content and activities, methodology, and criteria in the evaluation of vocabulary. In each of them, the student is given an active role as the protagonist of his / her learning, and the role of the teacher is guided, as a guide to that process. The project proposes actions and strategies based on the theoretical sources consulted, as well as on the results found in the selected population, in order to promote the influence of vocabulary to develop reading comprehension in students.Estimando la deficiencia de vocabulario que tienen los alumnos se analiza la influencia del vocabulario en la compresión de textos y en la producción escrita, a través de la revisión de algunas de las investigaciones que se han centrado en el tema. Confirmada esta influencia, se pretende lograr una aproximación planificada a la enseñanza del vocabulario, en el marco de las actividades de comprensión lectora y composición, analizando los diversos aspectos que van a presidir este proceso de enseñanza: Planteamiento de objetivos, Principios-guía de la instrucción, contenidos y actividades, metodología, y criterios en la evaluación sobre vocabulario. En cada uno de ellos, se otorga un papel activo al alumno, como protagonista de su aprendizaje, y se orienta el rol del profesor, como guía de ese proceso.
