Entre los factores de riesgo más predominantes tenemos el sexo femenino, edad, obesidad, terapia hormonal. En el siguiente trabajo de investigación que se realizó en el Hospital Universitario se determina el género más afectado , grupo de edad, síntomas más frecuentes en los paciente, tipos e índices de cirugía a los cuales fueron sometidos estos pacientes . Con un universo de 1411 historias clínicas, las cuales representan un mayor porcentaje en el sexo femenino, y grupo de edades que oscilan entre 20-39, 40-59 años, y 60 años en adelante, tomando como muestra pacientes adultos mayores (60años o mas) ingresados por consulta externa y emergencia. El tratamiento de elección es quirúrgico, puede ser cirugía abierta o laparoscópica, dependiendo de la complicación del paciente.The cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder wall, which are the most common cause calculations. Among the most prevalent risk factors we have female gender, age, obesity, hormonal therapy. The following research which was conducted in the University Hospital the most affected gender, age, most frequent symptoms in the patient, types and rates of surgery which underwent these patients is determined. With a universe of 1411 medical records, which represent a higher percentage in females, and age group ranging from 20-39, 40-59 years and 60 years on, taking as example elderly patients (60años or more) admitted for outpatient and emergency.
