La metodología fue cualitativa descriptiva y diseño fenomenológico, se estudiaron 5 casos de estudiantes de 22 - 27 años. Los instrumentos fueron: escala del Síndrome del Impostor de Clance e Inventario de autoestima de Coopersmith. El análisis integrador reveló la presencia de síntomas asociados al Síndrome del Impostor, elevada autocrítica, perfeccionismo e inseguridad en relación con las exigencias del entorno, presentando estrés, ansiedad y síntomas físicos. Se concluye que el nivel bajo de autoestima se relaciona con experiencias tempranas traumáticas, estilos de crianza, falta de reconocimiento social provocando comportamientos desadaptativos asociados a la sintomatología del Síndrome del Impostor.In this study, behaviors indicating low self esteem, undervaluation of abilities, achievements, capacities, and personal worth were observed, attributing their success to luck; for this reason, the objective was to analyze the relationship of Impostor Syndrome with the level of self esteem to identify maladaptive behaviors and emotional responses. The methodology used was qualitative and descriptive with a phenomenological design, studying 5 cases of students aged 22 27 years. The instruments used were Clance’s Impostor Syndrome Scale and Coopersmith’s Self Esteem Inventory. The integrated analysis revealed the presence of symptoms associated with Impostor Syndrome, high self criticism. Perfectionism, and insecurity regarding environmental demands, leading to stress, anxiety, and physical symptoms.
