La metodología empleada fue cualitativa bajo el diseño de sistematización de experiencia. El eje fue identificar las fortalezas o limitaciones del diseño de los talleres de prevención del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas ejecutados durante el periodo lectivo 2013-2014. Los instrumentos empleados para la recopilación de información fueron los diarios de campo y las fichas de registro, elaboradas mediante la información obtenida durante la participación en los talleres y la interacción con los estudiantes, docentes y padres de familia de la institución educativa. Las fortalezas y limitaciones identificadas guardan relación con la logística de los talleres, participación de los estudiantes y sus padres, los espacios y tiempo empleados, las relaciones y comunicación entre instituciones y la preparación de los facilitadores. Se concluyó enfatizando el entusiasmo de los estudiantes y proponiendo más espacios destinados a la prevención del consumo y orientados al desarrollo personal de los mismosThe following work has been made in the Prosperina at the northwest of the city of Guayaquil, in the Educational Unit Camilo Ponce Enríquez, was developed from the community service part of the process of qualification for the title of Psychologist in the Faculty of Psychological Sciences of the University of Guayaquil. The methodology used was qualitative under the experience systematization design. The axis was to identify the strengths and limitations of the design of workshops to prevent the consumption of psychoactive substances during the 2013-2014 school period. The instruments used for the collection of information were the field diaries and the registration forms, elaborated through the information obtained during the active participation in the workshops and the interaction with the students, teachers and parents of the institution. The strengths and limitations identified relate to the logistics of the workshops, the participation of students and their parents, the spaces and time spent, the relationships and communication between institutions and the preparation of the facilitators.
