This project had the purpose of determining the influence of dictation in the development of listening comprehension. For that, it was carried out a study, in which the variables of the problem were found. Then the variables were analyzed and developed theoretically through the historical background, the theoretical and legal foundations, and also the context of the research. Besides the different methods and techniques, the instruments that were: the teacher interview and the student survey, which revealed the real situation of the students concerning listening comprehension. Based on an analysis of the results, it concludes that the design of a didactic guide focused on dictation activities would help improve listening, since it provides both students and the teacher a series of structured exercises that function as a guide at the time of developing listening skillsEl presente proyecto educativo se basa en resolver el problema que se evidenció en los alumnos de décimo año, paralelo "D" de Educación General Básica del “Colegio Fiscal Cuenca del Guayas” en el periodo lectivo 2020 - 2021, en el que se observó una insuficiencia en la habilidad de la comprensión auditiva. Este proyecto tuvo el propósito de determinar la influencia del dictado en el desarrollo de la comprensión auditiva en la clase de inglés. Para ello, se realizó un estudio donde se encontraron las variables del problema que fueron analizadas y desarrolladas teóricamente a través de los antecedentes históricos, los fundamentos teóricos y legales, y también el contexto de la investigación. Además de los diferentes métodos y técnicas, también se utilizaron los instrumentos que fueron: la entrevista al profesor y la encuesta a los estudiantes que revelaron la situación real de los educandos con respecto a la comprensión auditiva.
